WOW it has been a while, and a lot has happened.
First of all I am done with school for the spring semester and am now on summer break! yay! This summer will be fantastic because it is basically my first summer not dating and not planning a wedding. I get to have a husband all to myself and I don't have to share him with school.
Next, right after finals were over, Jason and I packed up and when back packing in the grand canyon! It was so much fun! We left Monday May 7th and drove all day until 2:30 am when we arrived at the parking lot at the start of the trail to havasupai. We geared up and started the trek and didn't arrive at the campground until 8 am. So yes, we did drive all day and back pack through the night, and yes we were exhausted! But it was worth it!
This was right after the hike in. 10 miles! We were so tired.

The next day we wanted to hike to mooney falls. We climbed down rickety ladders and chains to get to it. So sketchy but worth it!

then we just hiked in the river for 2 hours. there were so many of these little waterfalls! hundreds!
The hike out was awful. We were already sore from hiking in 2 days earlier, and I hurt my knee 2 weeks earlier so hiking on it wasn't much fun either. But we made it out! Hardest hike of my life, especially because of the 1.5 miles of switchbacks straight up hill at the end. I also got blisters on the way in so you can only imagine how awful it was hiking out with those.
